Family Participation Program (Volunteering)

Lincoln Little League families play a huge role in the success of our league. LLL is run 100% by volunteers. We can not run a league this size (750 players/64 teams) without your help. Throughout the season, there are a variety of opportunities for everyone to participate and contribute to the success of our teams and Lincoln Little League.

What is the expectation?

Lincoln Little League requires a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer service from each family. 1-Manager, 2-Coaches, and 1-Team Parent are exempt from volunteer hours beyond their managing/coaching/parenting hours.

A volunteer services deposit of $150 is required for each family (regardless of numbers of players). Volunteer checks will be collected by Managers or Team Parents when uniforms are handed out before the start of the season. Players will not receive their uniforms until the volunteer check is provided. Please make checks payable to Lincoln Little League. There’s also a option to opt out of volunteer hours and pay the $150 fee during registration. Your purchase will go to pay teens to work various positions.

To fulfill the volunteer services requirement, a player’s family must complete the required 4 hours of volunteer time, no later than the completion of the Lincoln Tournament of Champions (TOC). Once the required volunteer services hours have been completed, the $150 deposit will be returned to you, or shredded, if you prefer. If the required volunteer services hours are not completed by the deadline, your $150 deposit check will be cashed after the end of the Lincoln TOC (usually mid-June). If you decide not to complete the volunteer services hours, please notify your Manager or Team Parent.

The following commitments will be counted per hour of service:

  • Team Scorekeeper (AAA/Majors/Juniors Divisions)

  • Team Pitch Counter (AA/AAA/Majors/Juniors Divisions)
